Mark Thompson, Director, Global Sales and Marketing ProCurve Networking by HP
Mark Thompson is the director of global sales and marketing for ProCurve Networking by HP. He is responsible for overseeing the strategic direction and execution of marketing activities as well as leading the global ProCurve sales team.
Since joining HP in 1983, Thompson has held positions as support engineer, product manager, product marketing manager, engineering project and section manager and strategic relations manager for HP's relationship with Novell. His previous technology focuses at HP have included HP desktop PCs and HP network servers.
Thompson has a strong technical background and developed a patented phone-line integration for use in mobile PC base stations. He has been involved in numerous channel and industry panel events on topics including a variety of future networking technologies and applications.
Thompson graduated from California Polytechnic State University, San Luis Obispo with a bachelor's degree in computer science.
