    Lee Doyle, Vice President and General Manager, Network Infrastructure and Security Products and Services, IDC

Lee Doyle is the group vice president and general manager of IDC's Network Infrastructure and Security Products and Services groups. He leads an expanding team of expert analysts within numerous IDC research services, including Enterprise Networks, Datacenter Networks, Wireless Infrastructure, Network and Service Management, Network Life-Cycle Services, Next-Generation OSS and Billing, Telecommunications Equipment, Next-Generation Networks Infrastructure, Secure Content and Threat Management, and Security Services and Identity Management. He provides market analysis, research, and consulting services on next-generation network requirements and opportunities to IDC's IT, network equipment, telecommunications service providers and Fortune 1000 clients. During his 20+ years at IDC, Lee has written extensively on such topics as NGN infrastructure, COTS, ATCA, enterprise adoption of networking technologies, leading network vendor strategies, and IT-Telecom technology convergence. Lee is a frequent speaker on next-generation network topics and has presented for many computer and networking vendors, Fortune 1000, and government agency clients.

Prior to his current role, Lee has held numerous positions at IDC, including VP, Telecommunications Infrastructure; Director, Enterprise Networks; Manager, Local Area Networks. He also worked as a PC analyst researching the role of personal computers in large organizations. In addition, Lee contributes to such industry periodicals as Network World, The Wall Street Journal, Fortune, The New York Times, Investors Business Daily, and Forbes.

Lee holds a B.A. in Economics from Williams College.
